| Graphics
that show exploded views of equipment and identify parts are always
valuable. At IGT
we greatly increase that value by customizing this info to fit your needs.
We do this by first converting the graphic into an electronic format which can
be modified. We then place part numbers on the graphic which apply to your
plant. All this info is then aligned & linked directly to your current
maintenance management software or we can provide a fully customized
maintenance database. |
IGT
specializes in providing
tools and resources to aid in the creating, maintaining and retrieval of equipment
and parts data within maintenance management software. Our staff is highly
skilled at gathering equipment & parts data scattered throughout your
plant. Important information that is currently only available to a limited
number of people who happen to know where to find it. Our tools provide an
easy way for everyone to share this information, making it readily accessible to
everyone. These tools include using any prints, manuals or other equipment
drawings you may have as well as modifying, updating or creating drawings for
you. IGT can provide 3 dimensional graphic illustrations, which are a powerful
tool in the defining of equipment structure as well as parts
identification. This Visual Maintenance Tool
(VMT) provides a quick and easy way for even
the least experienced person to retrieve the parts data.
VMT's also
provide a visual aid for marking up equipment or part updates made in the
field, an easy way
of maintaining the data. A valuable aid in standardization as well as a
fantastic training tool.
VMT's
used for creating and populating the
Equipment/Parts Database
- Used to define and identify equipment and parts within functional
locations and assembly BOM’s.
- Allows database to be populated with a high degree of accuracy.
- High percentage of parts identified. (shows which parts have not been
identified)
- Reduce number of site recourse effort hours needed to create database.
- Reduce duplicate parts in system – reduce inventory
- Used as a data entry tool.
VMT's
used as an aid in retrieval of parts data
Directly linked to
Equipment/Parts Database
Quickly find the functional location/assembly that contains the
equipment/parts needed using drill down capability.
Ordering the correct parts. Eliminate confusion when there are several
parts of the same type within an assembly.
Easy for anyone to retrieve parts quickly.
Reduce down time.
VMT's
used for change management
Tool to mark up requested changes.
Visual aid to reduce the number of unidentified parts – before
failure.
Visual aid in verifying the
parts database reflects equipment changes in
the field.
VMT's
used as a training tool
Training tool to become familiar with the equipment and terminology.
Excellent addition to new hire training package.
Additional VMT
uses and value
Visually identify lubrication points.
Visually identify vibration points.
Visually identify round points.
Easily share information.
Link graphics to documents, spreadsheets, CBA’s, engineering prints,
etc.
Our
Visual Maintenance Systems are easy to use and update. Our manuals can be applied to any and all
machines/support equipment
inside & outside of the plant, and from facility to facility. You will
never have ripped,
dirty or lost pages again. Our computerized manuals are
accurate, dependable and accessible to everyone.
These
Visual Maintenance Systems provide a quick and easy way for even
the least experienced person to retrieve the parts data.
Visual Maintenance Systems also
provide a visual aid for inspecting equipment,
updating parts and an easy way
of maintaining the data. A valuable aid in standardization as well as a
fantastic training tool.

Below
is an step by step example of our Visual Maintenance System.

This
graphic shows the machine in its entirety. The balloons identify how the
equipment within the machine gets broken down to a lower level. Hot spots on the
balloons provide the user with drill down capability, which allows for fast and
easy navigation through the equipment to get you to the data you need. Simply
double click on the balloon that shows the equipment you are working on and you
are at that level. Every level graphic is created in such a way as to match the
structure of the maintenance database. In this case, clicking on
035 brings you
to example #2 below.

|
|
This
graphic defines the equipment included at this level. If you don’t see the
equipment you are looking for in this area, simply drill back up to the upper
level and search a different area. This eliminates time spent looking for parts
data in the wrong area. At this level the assemblies which contain the parts are
identified. Clicking on the 0020 at this level brings you to the parts level drawing.
(See Example #3)

This is the lowest level graphic. Individual part identification is done at this
level. Here you have all the Information you need to order the correct parts.
This is also used as a tool to make sure that all the parts are identified and
stored. If there is a part failure within equipment that has a graphic
available, you can feel confident that the necessary part is readily available
and easy to find, keeping down time to a minimum. Clicking
the part list button at this level
brings you to the parts list. (See Example #4)

At this database level "Parts List" all individual part
information is listed making it easy to maintain, manage and use. This database
can be customized to fit the needs of the vendor and their clients.
